9Health Fair and 9health ready
9Health Fair is a statewide health initiative in Colorado that provides free and low-cost health screenings to everyone. In addition to my daily 5 a.m. newscast responsibilities, I create the spring and fall coverage plans for 9Health Fair, organize and oversee the shoots to gather the video and audio components, write stories to promote 9Health Fair and produce separate content for liveshots. For each season, this equates to finding, shooting, writing & producing 85+ stories, 30+ liveshots, and web content.

9Health Ready is the Spring 2016 marketing program for 9Health Fair. It incorporates TV coverage, a website, and a resource guide. The goal of the program is to lead every person to a healthier life by completing a handful of goals. I designed this marketing program with a 9Health Fair colleague; it has been vetted by medical professionals.

Tornadoes rolled through South Texas with three touching down in the small towns of Devine and Natalia. Using three reporters, I introduced each story in a different way (chopper video, viewer photos, data I found and analyzed). I also wrapped up coverage with a history of this weather pattern in our viewing area in the last six months and a pitch to our web site.

A gunman disrupted the midnight showing of "The Black Knight" in Aurora, Colorado. He killed one San Antonio native and injured another. I produced the entire newscast around this event. Two reporters covered the San Antonio victims; a third reported from the scene in Colorado; a fourth looked into how the suspect got the firearms; a fifth talked to local theaters about how they were reacting. I threaded the stories together with information about the suspect, the crime scene locations, 911 calls and social media posts.
